There seems to be some confusion out there in Dart Land. I need to explain how the Drills in Flight School work.
Drills in order by number: A1 and A2 are what a person uses to learn and perfect their stroke.

A3 is what a person uses to stop thinking about how they are delivering darts to where they want to stick darts.
A4 is used to learn use of a perfected stroke to maximize scoring and three dart out shots.
A5, A6, A7, A8 are to correct flaws in your stroke which prevent scoring 180 and making three dart out shots.

You are not practicing when using A1, A2 you are learning control of your stroke.
When using A3 you are beginning to move on from learning your stroke to practicing use of your stroke as perfected as it is.
A4 requires no thought about how you’re shooting a dart and total concentration on where you want to stick the dart.
