Quote from Jakesy, referring to the Cape Cod tournament this past weekend - "No one in person is how they appear to be here on SEWA"

    Who are you really??

(remember this is the HUMOR section)

I, myself, have been told that I am very much the same in person as you would expect from my posts. Darci even said that in a post after meeting me at the GVO. Not that it's a good thing necessarily..... lol.

How about you? Have you been told you are the same, different? If different, how so, and do you agree??

Would you say yourself that you have a different typing personality than one in real person? Is your nickname an alter ego?

    Jekyll and Hyde?

    Superman and Clark Kent?

    Mel Blanc and Daffy Duck?

    Bill Bixby and the Hulk??

    Count Dracula and Count Chocula??

Bruce Wayne and Batman? Adam West and Batman???

    Jeff Dunham and Peanut?

    Who are you really??

    Who am I really……

I’m a fat, middle aged father of two who is a middle of the road player with a huge passion for the game darts. I put on no veneers whether it is in person or on line. I yam what I yam………

I'm probably the same either way, except that I'm usually sober in a dart forum, but rarely sober in a dart venue.

Drinking and writing doesn't go well for me. The impersonalness (is that a word?) brings out drama that you would probably never see from me in person, even drunk.

And Troy (JohnP above) tends to not talk as much in person as he does here! :p

As for Blackhorse? Yep, he's pretty much the same in person - he even talks in those blasted pastel colors! 8O

I'll let someone else compare the hardware "me" to the software version (just know that I have the power to ban their a$$ here - or simply modify their posts to make them appear like knuckle-dragging Neanderthals - provided their writing doesn't already indicate that of course... ).

I am as boring here as in real life. Stick in the mud kind of guy. Just lives life and does his best. I might add simple also.

I've met and played an afternoon of darts with Jakesy -- I'd challenge him to claim I'm not the person I've presented myself to be here on SEWA. (btw, sorry your truck got towed -- if I'd known you'd parked it in the Rite-Aid lot I would have told you to move it to the School for the Deaf a block over).

This one's tricky because it's how others perceive you. It's probably easier to answer this about people you've seen in both lights.

I'm laid back and like to laugh, joke, and have fun, but can also get intense on the board when I need to. Try to represent myself and my sport with good sportsmanship. Sometimes I ramble a little bit.

On here I'm often giving advice to new players, so I guess I could come off as a know it all. Truth is, I still learn things week. I love this game and the different strategies and techniques.

Anyway, those of you who know me, feel free to tell me if there are any differences. I'd be interested to know what people think.

I've been told a few times by people that they thought I was older than what I am. Not sure if that is because you get wiser with age or because I'm not aging very well! My wife thinks she got 3 kids though! :p

I'm mean, nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm, and I can put a round trough a flea's ass at 200 meters. So you go hump somebody else's leg dog breath!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just joking :) I'm a fish tank fanatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im a soft spoken man that grew up in the city, moved out into the middle of nowhere after 30 yrs and have finally learned to relax.
I currently retired and dont know what to do with all this time... So I got back into darts.
Im grumpy and prick like till you make me smile, and have horrible eating manners.
I dont cross the line too much in life, but I like my close to home adventures.

    Im Joe.
Ross is my nick name. I got it from a dreadlocked co-worker back in 98.
He was talking about the rastapharians or rasta man.
I pronounced it rasta and was rebuked immediately lol. Then he said, "no man, its ross-maan" relax...., and then went on and on about the culture etc.
But everyday from then on he called me Ross-Maan just to tease.

Time to revive this since I’m hoping there are more newbies around like me! Dutch is my nickname and I think I am the same online and in person! Superman in both cases :). Middle of the road player who used to be better. Always enjoyed what others would call pastimes. Billiards, darts, cards, and golf(I had the good fortune of making a living at this one for a good while). Trying to reach past form and better! Unreasonable aspiration, to be the first PDC world champion from the USA! Who knows?!?!

We can always dream right? :D I've certainly had my dreams but lately injuries old and new have stomped on those.

Squiggle was the name of my show truck back in the 90's - mid 00's. It had a wavy "squiggle" pinstripe on the side for several years so I called the truck Squiggle. It said "Squiggle" in big airbrush letters on the tailgate so it became my nickname in my late teens/early 20's. I later repainted the truck and put color changing scallops on it, but I still called it Squiggle. God I miss that truck.

Anyway, I'm a middle of the road dart player (at best). I guess I'm pretty much the same in person as I am on here. My darts nickname is 'The Gentleman' (I promise I didn't give it to myself). I love darts and I'm truly a student of the sport, reading books and checking all online references I can find.

I'm also into skateboarding. I'm not very good at it either. I used to be a lot better at it but I'm 42 and fat now so I can't jump and bend like I used to. Still I like to go to the skatepark when I can and skate the bowl for a bit and do a few ollies and board slides.
