I tried to look up crowsdarts.com and it looks like it's gone. It was around for years, and I was using it before I discovered SEWA way back in 2006. If it really is gone, an important early WWW resource for darts players will be missed. Wow. There were some cool things on that site. Any news about it?
Hmmmm.....can't see any info on the site and the whois is private. Can't find a way to contact them. Wonder if he needs someone to keep the site alive? I'd be happy to help!
Like I said on the Facebook post about this, I used to check the site all the time. Heck, I even talked to Mr. Cronin a couple times via email. I know he moved overseas at one point and not long after that it seemed the website was no longer being updated (that was probably around '07 or '08). Since then the site has really gotten outdated. Other than some of the old articles like 'How the Pros do it', and some outdated product reviews, almost everything else there could be found on other darting websites. I loved Crows Dart Page. It used to be my go to spot for anything darts related, but honestly after so many years without a single update to the site, the only reason we'd have for keeping it going is purely nostalgia. Heck, I think the database here is probably way more in depth and certainly way more up to date! Erik, you might be able to find an active email address for him and perhaps he'd send you all the stuff he had on his site and you could put it in a spot on here somewhere.
Yeah, it was not not being updated, but I liked the collection of stuff there. And yeah, looking at it was like looking at a fossil. But still, loved it all the same. How many darts in movies points have you got? I've got a couple. That's one thing that was cool. The darts in movies list.
Did anyone ever see the movie, 'Bullseye' that he had reviewed on the page? "Finally a movie about darts!" I have it on DVD. I've watched it about a hundred times. It was made on a budget of less than $8000 (I think). To say it's low budget would be an insult to low budget flicks. It's honestly a terrible movie... but I love it! I could watch it a thousand times and not get tired of it. The story line is somewhat solid. It has some decent comedy. The acting is awful at times, but if you like darts, it's a must see.
