In the Bars I play, Everything - In steel tip areas of the SE I see Dartworld Piranha and GLD Softtip brands. A lot of players never order online or go to a specialty store. They simply buy from a Distributor stocked box at the bar. Or they use brands from sporting good stores. Bottlesten I see often (these come from the Swimming pool, Pool table, REC stores).

At larger events (Bullshooters...) Most players are using high end stuff, Unicorn, Target..., I was surprised when I played an event in the north the number of VoK darts used. I also noticed several Women player using LaserDarts (black widows...). At a Darts Live USA tour last year- the players used what the sponsor gave them. Monster seems to be the largest sponsor ATM. Cosmo, Puma...

Interesting. Might have to get a list of darts to take a pole...probably a hard to answer question I'm guessing.

Just so many soft-tip brands, Nothing like when I play Steel with my Purist (not often). I think the Steel league play promotes brand following. The top players used to play Bottlsten and Laserdart... and so you would see a lot of the B-D league players emulating. Maybe in other parts or the world there are soft tip leagues with players being influenced buy what is being thrown locally.

Since I live in North Carolina and there are no Soft Tip leagues within 500 miles of where I live, just a lot of LOD's. My influences come from the Internet Video (Dartlive type matches) . Well the fact that I have over 20 sets of darts (a lot of trial and error).

Side note: I own a set of almost every American Brand but it was a pro player (Donnie Joe) promoting the Monster Brand that lead me to my current set.

I always thought of the brand as an overpriced pair of Target darts. Bottom line, They look like new after a year of cement floor playing and I have hit my highest Count-up scores using these darts. I paid twice what I would pay normally for darts but they are the only darts (well I did buy some used Joker Drivers on an in-pulse buy) I have purchased this year.

    * wish I could say that about shaft, flights and tips - I still have to buy/test every new idea out there.
